Photo Gear

Each image in my portfolio details the camera used and the settings. A summary of my camera equipment both for underwater and topside photography is below:-

Underwater Photography
I use a Nikon D300 in a Sea & Sea MDX Housing with Inon 180 degree viewfinder. I did experiment with my Fuji S5 Pro for underwater use but tend to use just the Nikon for this purpose.

I use 2 Inon Z240 strobes with ultralight arms and a range of macro and dome ports, including the Pro One 180mm glass dome port.
Lens choice is typically the Nikon 10.5mm and Tokina 10-17mm fish eyes for wide angle and Nikon 60mm and 105mm lenses for macro.

A set of Magic Filters for my favourite subject - natural light, completes the set up.

Topside Photography
Being something of a Fujista, I use Fuji S5 Pro bodies. Launched back in 2006, they are sadly likely to be the last of the line of Fuji DSLRS. However, the fabulous film like quality of the fuji image and the stunning dynamic range of the sensor means that this continues to be my camera of choice.

I use a variety of Nikon lenses including the 17-35mm F2.8, 50mm F1.4 and 70-200mm F2.8 along with Lee filters.
