Gold Medal - UnderwaterPhotography.com 2011/12 Awards

The UnderwaterPhotography.com 2011/12 annual awards have been announced and this image I took in Wraysbury Lake was awarded the Gold Medal in the Freshwater category.

This international contest is the longest running and one of the most prestigious online. Winning here is one of Underwater Photography's most coveted accolades because it says that you succeeded in the most competitive environment there is - against the top talent of the moment.

Every January a panel of judges select the best images entered in this online photo contest from the previous year. From a total of over 11,000 entries Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded for the top three from each category in order of merit.
