British Underwater Image Festival 2011

23rd February 2011
This year’s British Underwater Image Festival attracted hundreds of entries showcasing the very best in underwater photography and filmmaking.

Now in its sixth year, BUIF is the biggest competition of its kind in the UK with the Stills section judged by Alex Mustard and Charles Hood together with DIVE editor Simon Rogerson and Colin Doeg, founder of BSoUP.

The awards were presented at a ceremony held at the Big Scuba Show in London’s Olympia, where 50 of the best photographs were on show. Two of my images were displayed - a shot of a diver exploring Egypt's Jackfish Alley Caves was placed 8th overall in the Suunto Open Category and a shot of the Giannis D wreck was also within the top 20.

A summary of the results and some of the images can be viewed from the link below.
